Refunds and Exchanges

 

• The first month or week service fee(s) is/are not refundable per item loaned.

  • Ie. If you take an item out for a month and determine you don't need it, there will be no refund issued.

  • Ie. If you paid to have that item for two months and brought it back within the first month, one month service fee is refundable.

• Equipment can be exchanged for a different version of the same type at any time during the loan period or exchanged for an item of equivalent cost.

  • Ie. The 4 wheeled walker you have does not work but another would, we will switch it out for you. There are NO additional costs or paperwork required.

  • Ie. You have a shower seat and now need a non-sliding tub transfer bench (same cost), you can switch them.

  • Ie. You have a shower seat and now need a bath lift, you will be responsible for the additional cost.

 

General Information

 

• Loan agreements are made for four (4) months at a time.

• ‘Fee Relief’ applies to most items, with a few exceptions: Cryotherapy Units, Hospital Beds, & Bath Lifts.

• The M.E.L. Society serves all people in need regardless of age, place of residence and income level.
